The Baby About to Be Born
a story of spirit for adoptive and A.R.T. families
A great book for those of us who couldn’t build our families the old-fashioned way. A wonderful story about a special child who waits for just the right family. -R. Weiner
Baybo is about to be born. But he doesn’t know who he wants his parents to be until he’s taken to a room that holds the dreams of people who long for children.
This story will warm the hearts of those who have either adopted or created their families with the help of assisted reproductive technologies (A.R.T.) such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
The original full color artwork featured in “The Baby About to Be Born” was created by well-known Canadian artist, Marla Thirsk.

When I picked up this book I expected it to be a simple children’s book, but it was a lot more! Half way through the book I started to tear up and had to set it down for a second. I recommend this book for anyone, but I especially recommend it to parents or children that are involved with in-vitro fertilization or adoption in anyway. It gave me a new perspective on how great this kind of relationship can be between parents and children. I really enjoyed the art as well! -Savannah
A great book for those of us who couldn’t build our families the old-fashioned way. A wonderful story about a special child who waits for just the right family. A must get for anyone who needed a little help to complete their family. -R. Weiner
What a beautiful and touching way to let children born from A.R.T. know how truly wanted, loved and special they all are. -J. Magnuson
I’m not sure if I cried harder reading this during the 6 years we spent trying to conceive, or now that we finally have our little miracle guy. -Monica
An excellent story that includes both adoptive and birth children. -Lesley Billy
Great story for those who have a child through ART or Adoption. My son was conceived through IVF and I will share it with him someday. I think it gives women hope for a baby when they are struggling with infertility. -S. Eary
